BLACK HISTORY FESTIVAL 2009 - LONDON'S PREMIER BLACK HISTORY EVENT 23-25TH OCTOBER
Everyone is invited to the Black History Festival - the capitals premier event for Black History Month 2009.
From the 23rd - 25th October this event will be the highlight of all Black History Month celebrations. Exciting workshops, tempting tastes from Africa and the Caribbean, musical and theatrical treats and a general 
sprinkling of fun, art, culture, history and sport.
Since 1926 the USA have been acknowledging and celebrating Black History Month. It has developed and grown and is a wonderful vehicle for educating and broadening knowledge. EVERYTHING we do in life, the clothes we wear, food we eat, architecture, medicine and of course - the big one - the music we hear everyday have been brought about,influenced, changed and channelled by the development and history of black people within our society.
The Black History Festival will be an acknowledgement and celebration of diversity and the richness it brings to our society. It will announce and note the massive difference this has made to our lives - PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE.
