Black History Fest is a tradition we started to shine a spotlight on the remarkable contributions of the Black community in our greater Maryland and DMV area. History is essential; it grounds us, reminds us of our roots, and motivates us to strive for excellence.

 

The theme for this year's event is “Reaching Beyond Limitations.” We're excited to welcome a diverse range of amazing speakers, talented performers, and a fantastic lineup of Black-owned business vendors, including young entrepreneurs under the age of 18.

 

We're honored to have the support of Howard County Recreation and Parks, a dedicated sponsor that shares our mission of celebrating Black history. But that's not all! We're excited to announce that we've received sponsorships to award scholarships to deserving students through an application process this year.

 

Black History Fest is more than just an event; it's a celebration of resilience, achievement, and unity. We're excited to host an incredible event this year, and we hope to see you there!
